Jason Headley was born in a small town you’ve never heard of to a man and woman you’ve never met. After graduating from a high school that barely even exists anymore, he went to a college that doesn’t even have a football team. He got two degrees he hasn’t used since, then loaded his car, pointed it west, and drove to San Francisco. There, he did what every boy of his generation dreamed of—went to work in the mail room of an ad agency.

As fulfilling as it was to sort and deliver the mail, he soon yearned for other ways to apply his professional command of the alphabet. So he set his sights on the creative department. After a mere five months in the mail room, he’d worn down the Creative Directors to the point where they figured it would be less hassle to simply give him a job. During that inaugural period of his career, Headley saw his work appear in national publications, won a few awards, and took part in the early, halcyon days of internet marketing and dot-com grab-ass.

When not freelancing, Headley spends his time writing things like this and this. He’s never been hunting, rarely dances, and can whistle louder than anyone he knows.
